  7.      When I first started using the internet, I finally found freedom.
  8.      Here was a medium that I could use to communicate to a global
  9.      village that was without limitation and access to unlimited
  10.      knowledge.
  11.      To me, this is the ultimate freedom.

  13.      There is so much information available on the internet it has
  14.      made
  15.      my life much more informed. Which I think is what scares people
  16.      in
  17.      power such as government and big business. Knowledge is power.
  18.      Hence, we will see lobby groups who inadvertently contribute,
  19.      whether or not their intensions are good, to censorship.
  20.  
  21.      Being Canadian, I live in a country that has freedom of speech,
  22.      but
  23.      with its own problems. Such as the province of Quebec wanting
  24.      independence
  25.      from the rest of Canada. But the Internet is a part of Canada
  26.      too.

  28.      I don't know alot about the censorship bill, but with the
  29.      internet
  30.      I am learning. I think the govenment is scared mostly because,
  31.      they
  32.      don't understand the Internet. The benefits of a wide open medium
  33.      far
  34.      out-weigh the downfalls. I can go to any corner store and get the
  35.      same
  36.      pornographic material I can get on the Internet. So why stop it.
  37.      The
  38.      Citizens of the Internet will not allow this to happen. I'm not
  39.      living
  40.      in the U.S.A. and yet this bill affects me. I will not stand for
  41.      it. We
  42.      must have freedom in this world and the internet must stay
  43.      Forever Free.
